Courses:

  1. Rallye Cap training: offered in English and French in April & May by BQ through LSL.  Only needed by one coach/coordinator for all of Rallye Cap but recommended by LBA to be taken by all coaches.
  2. Initiation course: “In Training”: This is the first step to becoming a coach and is an online training course (minimum 1 hour). Go to https://nccp.baseball.ca/ to begin the process.

This is what you will find on the website:

Once you fill out the steps from this photo, click to register for the Online Initiation Module. The cost of this course is $37.45, which you need to pay and email receipt to LBA Treasurer to be reimbursed.

  1. Initiation course: “Trained”: This is the second and final step to becoming a coach (“in Training” course is a prerequisite).  It is a 4 hour initiation coach clinic offered by LSL. LSL usually offers 2 courses in English and 2 courses in French in May and June. LBA will notify coaches of the dates as soon as they become available.

*The 2 levels of the initiation course- “In training” and “Trained” are only needed once in a coach’s career. For those coaches that took the Initiation Course “Trained” prior to 2014, you can take the current Initiation course “Trained” and it will count as your annual training as it has been updated since 2014.

  1. Annual training: These are courses that are offered by LSL starting in January of the current season on a variety of coaching topics. One coach on each A level team needs to take an annual training course.

Please refer to the following link at BQ for higher level coaching certification: http://lacstlouis.baseballquebec.com/fr/sportsdynasty/form_stages_inscription.html?T=14

If you would like to take a higher level coaching certification, it can also count towards an annual renewal. These clinics can be taken online or will be offered by LSL.
